Master of Public Health with a Concentration in Health Care Administration and Policy

The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program is designed to prepare students to be public health professionals in the private and public sectors with the overall goal of promoting and protecting the health of individuals in our society.

The MPH degree with a health care administration concentration will provide students working in both private and public sector health care organizations with general knowledge about management and administration practices. Students will have the opportunity to learn about health care finance and accounting, marketing, human resources, and health care policy issues.

Because the MPH is located in the School of Public Health, students take a series of core public health courses including an introduction to the health system, statistics, epidemiology, social and behavioral aspects of health, and environmental health. Thus, the central focus of an MPH program is on the description of patterns of disease within populations, and on the development, operation, financing, and evaluation of population-based programs designed to improve the health of populations within the community.

For more information about the Master of Public Health degree, visit the School of Public Health website.
